West Ham v Newcastle team news

West Ham and Newcastle have both been struggling for wins and they meet at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday. West Ham have failed to win any of their last four top-flight games and have not registered a victory in any competition on home soil since beating Manchester United 2-0 in the middle of September.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side will head into the weekend in 10th place but are only three points behind Arsenal in fifth and will fancy their chances of overcoming a Newcastle side they beat home and away last season without conceding a goal.
Finding the back of the net has been a problem for Newcastle this term as well – only bottom-of-the-table Watford have scored fewer goals than the Magpies’ six.
Steve Bruce’s side have only won twice all season although those victories did come against Tottenham and Manchester United, while they have a recent memory of winning at the London Stadium after they claimed a 3-2 triumph there in December 2017.
West Ham have no fresh injury concerns to contend with and Michail Antonio and Jack Wilshere are working their way back to full fitness following recent lay-offs.
Antonio has been sidelined since August with a hamstring problem that required surgery, while Wilshere missed last weekend’s draw with Sheffield United due to a minor issue.
Both players are set to miss out once again on Saturday but could return for next week’s trip to Burnley.
The big news coming out of Newcastle is that Andy Carroll has been included in the travelling squad and could feature against his former club following a groin strain.
Isaac Hayden is also available after serving a ban but fellow midfielder Sean Longstaff is suspended following his sending off against Wolves last weekend. Matt Ritchie and Fabian Schar remain unavailable due to respective ankle and knee issues.
