Zidane wants more from Hazard

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has challenged Eden Hazard to improve his scoring record. Los Blancos forked out an initial 100million euros to snare Hazard from Chelsea during the summer transfer window although the deal could eventually cost Real a reported €146million – depending on various clauses being met.
The Belgian international managed 110 goals in 352 games during his time at Stamford Bridge but has just one goal in eight outings across all competitions for the Spanish giants.
Hazard has managed two assists, one in La Liga and one in the Champions League, and Zidane now wants more from the summer recruit in the final third.
Hazard’s performances have been heavily scrutinised and Zidane insists he is happy with the 28-year-old’s displays. However, he has challenged the attacker to be more productive in front of goal. “He’s improving day by day… all he’s missing is regular scoring,” the French boss told reporters ahead of Saturday’s clash with Real Betis.
He added: “You’ve seen him better, too, but we’re happy with what he’s producing on the pitch, he’s going to get back to his level, he’s playing better and better.”
Real sit in second spot in La Liga ahead of Betis’ visit, with 21 points from 10 games. League leaders Barcelona are one point better off.
