Rose looking to bloom in Antalya

Justin Rose is confident a strong end to the season can help him hit the ground running in 2020. Rose was world number one earlier this year but has managed just a single victory, taking the honours at January’s Farmers Insurance Open. This week sees him return to one of his favourite events, the Turkish Airlines Open, a tournament he has won in each of the last two years. While those victories came down the road at Carya, the 2019 event takes place at Montgomerie Maxx Royal. Despite the switch, the similarities between the layouts are unlikely to hamper the 39-year-old too severely as he targets strong showings in the final three events of the Race To Dubai. Rose concedes things have not gone to plan over the season but feels ending the campaign on a positive note, starting in Turkey, can set him up for 2020. He said: “I think the run of the last few events I’m going to play offer the opportunity to really turn it around, and that’s going to be very important going into 2020 which, as we all know, is going to be a big year. “To close out this year, I think is key in terms of punctuating a decent year, but also setting up a great year next year.”
