Manchester United v Partizan Belgrade team news

Manchester United will be without central defender Victor Lindelof because of a back problem for the Europa League Group L clash against Partizan Belgrade. The Sweden international picked up a knock in the 2-1 Carabao Cup win against Chelsea last week but managed to play in the 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth on Saturday.
However, after he was absent from United’s training session on Wednesday, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that Lindelof will miss the game and is also a doubt for the Premier League clash against Brighton.
Left-back Luke Shaw, who has been sidelined since August with a hamstring injury, has been out on the grass training again, while midfielder Paul Pogba continues his recovery along with Eric Bailly, Axel Tuanzebe and Nemanja Matic.
On Pogba’s recovery from an ankle injury which has sidelined him since September, Solskjaer said: “It won’t be too long until he’s out of his cast and he’s going to work though the international break. Hopefully, we’ll have him back in early December.”
Youngsters Ethan Laird and Matej Kovar could be in the squad again as Solskjaer freshens up the group.
Solskjaer wants his players to ‘fill their boots’ against Partizan Belgrade as they look to edge closer to qualifying for the knockout stages of the Europa League.
United have taken seven points from their three games in Europe so far but have only scored two goals.
He said: “We’ve had so many games where we’ve been 1-0 up and now it’s about, come on, let’s go for the second and third because maybe we’ve taken a step back and said we need to get the result for me, and I’d rather these boys just go for and make a mistake or two.”
Partizan boss Savo Milosevic has a full squad from which to choose as he attempts to gain revenge for a 1-0 defeat in Belgrade last month.
Milosevic has reported no injury problems and could field the same starting line-up as he did at the Stadion FK Partizan.
That would mean a return to Old Trafford for midfielder Zoran Tosic, who had a short spell with United earlier in his career.
