Real look to snatch Barca target from Inter

Real Madrid are being linked with a move to snatch Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez from under the noses of Barcelona. Real are said to be on the lookout for a new forward to replace Luka Jovic, who only arrived at the Bernabeu from German side Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer.
Jovic has got off to a disappointing start and it does not look as though he will get much of a chance to turn things around, with Real ready to ship him out in the January window.
Jovic was meant to put pressure on Karim Benzema, but just one goal in 11 appearances has not impressed the powers that be and he was left out of the squad against Eibar at the weekend.
It is a clear sign that he is not wanted at Real, and the hunt is already on for his replacement, with Inter striker Martinez the target.
In contrast, Martinez has had a flying start to the season and is bang in form for the Nerazzurri as they challenge Juventus for the Serie A title.
The 22-year-old’s form has caught the eye of Barcelona, who see him as a possible long-term replacement for his fellow countryman Lionel Messi.
However, it has been claimed that Martinez would prefer a move to Real if he was to leave Inter, and that has put Real on red alert.
He will not come cheap and it is thought Real will definitely look to offload Jovic first before making a move for the Argentina international.
