Now on United radar, but Kulusevski ‘happy in Parma’

Swedish star Dejan Kulusevski, who reportedly impressed Manchester United’s chief scout on Sunday, admits he’s found the perfect club for him in Parma. Corriere della Sera report that United’s chief scout went to Italy to see on-loan Red Devils defender Chris Smalling in action, but came away with more notes on right-winger Kulusevski after he starred in Parma’s 2-0 win over Roma.
The same newspaper reported on Tuesday that both Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers are planning £15million January raids for a player who has been nothing short of a revelation in his first season as regular starter in Serie A.
On loan from Atalanta, Kulusevski has scored two goals and produced five assists in 12 games since joining Parma, but the 19-year-old is not getting ahead of himself or distracted by stories of interest from the Premier League – where Arsenal have also been linked to him. “It’s normal for other clubs to be noting me,” he told the Swedish media when he met up for their international camp on Tuesday. “I’ve done well. I have found a perfect club for me this year, where I get to play. I feel good in Parma. I’m very happy to be there.”
His stay at the Ennio Tardini looks likely to be for one season only, however, with Corriere della Sera also writing that his parent club Atalanta intends to sell him for a quick profit.
The Bergamo club are said to value Kulusevski at 25million euros, which represents a steep appreciation from the reported £149,000 they paid small Swedish club Brommapojkarna for his services in 2016.
When asked about the transfer speculation, he replied: “I don’t think about it, because I have a one-year deal with Parma, and then when I have finished this season I will sit down with my agent and my family and choose the best for me. “There is nothing I think about now, which clubs are interested.”
