Big clubs continue to ignore Dyche

Sean Dyche has worked wonders at Burnley, twice gaining promotion to the Premier League but will he ever be lured away? It appears as though some managers are suited to a particular club – Sir Alex Ferguson certainly was to Manchester United – with Dyche and the Clarets seemingly a match made in heaven.
There are no airs and graces about the Turf Moor club, and the same can be said for their manager – who speaks his mind and is honest in his assessment of all things football.
His post-match interviews rarely contain the usual cliches beloved by so many managers and he is prepared to tackle any issue head on.
The 48-year-old’s recent rant about diving in football is a case in point as, while other managers tend to brush suspected ‘cheating’ under the carpet, it is clearly an area of the game that irks the former Watford boss and he has not held back in his views.
Always honest about his team’s displays, he will criticise when necessary and praise accordingly, with the Lancashire outfit now an established Premier League side and sitting 10^th in the current standings.
Dyche led them into the Europe League last term and, although they failed to make the group stage, an early start to proceedings seemed to affect their form, and relegation was not out of the question at one stage.
However, the boss galvanised his charges as the season progressed and they ended up 15^th to remain in the top flight.
The managerial merry-go-round continues to baffle, with perennial underachievers being snapped up by top English clubs despite failing in their previous job.
Therefore, with Dyche seemingly working miracles at an unfashionable club, it is surprising that one of the big boys has not taken a punt on the former Chesterfield defender.
Unai Emery seems to be under immense pressure at Arsenal, with reports that he will not last the season if results do not improve, but it would be a major shock to see the Gunners’ hierarchy contact Dyche if and when the role became vacant.
 
The Emirates Stadium outfit will probably go to another foreign manager while Dyche sits pretty at Turf Moor and continues to enhance his reputation.
The clubs’ fans will hope he stays as long as possible as it seems they are in safe hands with the Kettering-born tactician at the helm, and the short-sightedness of the bigger clubs’ bosses is Burnley’s gain.
