Warrington have secured the futures of England Academy stars Josh Thewlis and Ellis Longstaff, who have signed full-time contracts. 17-year-old Thewlis made his Super League debut against Catalans back in June of this year, while Longstaff, who is also 17 has yet to make his debut but has impressed in the academy set-up. Both players are now tied to the club until November 2022 and Paul Anderson, Warrington’s academy head coach says the contracts are very much deserved. “As a club, we are extremely excited that two more players have graduated from our academy system, as we aim to keep producing our own players of a high standard with the belief that we can make Warrington Wolves a continued threat at the top of Super League,” he said. “Both Ellis and Josh are hardworking and humble people, and fully deserving of these contracts. They are not only a reflection of what they do on the field but also of the continued hard work they do of it.”
