Bayer Leverkusen ace Kai Havertz has teased Chelsea fans online as transfer negotiations step up.
Hakim Ziyech has already joined up with the Blues and impressed during a number of training sessions.
And Timo Werner soon followed suit after touching down in London before Chelsea’s must-win clash against Wolves.
He beamed as he was pictured at Stamford Bridge for the first time and tweeted: “My new home! Come on, @ChelseaFC.”
Werner took to Instagram earlier in the day to post a photo of himself standing on an airport runway with the caption: “Landed in…Guess where?”
And Chelsea fans soon spotted that Havertz was quick to like the picture.
The Blues have been the front runners for the highly-coveted youngster despite interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, and their move looks to have taken a step closer as they are reportedly the only club willing to meet the Bundesliga side’s asking price – thought to be around £73million.
Havertz’s performances in the German top flight have made him one of the most sought-after players in Europe – he has scored 17 goals in all competitions and provided eight assists from midfield.
Havertz is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge, with personal terms not thought to be an issue in negotiations. The player was said to favour a move to Madrid but the club are unlikely to make a big-money bid at this time.
