Hector Bellerin has joined La Liga side Real Betis on loan from Arsenal for the 2021/22 season.

The Gunners announced Bellerin’s loan move on Tuesday.

He has also represented his country Spain at all levels from under-16s to the senior squad, and was a member of Spain’s Euro 2016 squad.

He spent the early stages of his youth career at the Barcelona academy, before joining Arsenal at the age of 16 and subsequently signing his first professional contract upon turning 17 in 2012.

Hector, now 26, made his first team debut in the League Cup in September 2013, before spending a loan spell in the Championship with Watford that season.

He soon developed into a dynamic full back and enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2013/14, capping the campaign by being named in the starting line-up for the FA Cup final victory over Aston Villa.
