Super Eagles Train On ‘Artificial Pitch’ Ahead Cape Verde Clash

The Super Eagles trained at the Legacy Pitch (National Stadium, Lagos) on Saturday ahead of their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchday two encounter against Cape Verde, Completesports.com reports.

Tuesday’s game will be played on an artificial turf ( Estadio Municipal Aderito Sena, Mindelo), hence the need to train on a similar ground.

Gernot Rohr’s men defeated the Lone Star of Liberia 2-0 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos on Friday.

Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho scored both goals in the first half.

Cape Verde on the other hand were held to a 1-1 draw by Central African Republic in their opening fixture.

The Super Eagles will leave Lagos on Monday morning for the game.
