Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that he did speak to Sir Alex Ferguson when the legendary manager visited the club’s training complex earlier this week.
Ferguson was at Carrington on Tuesday alongside former Man United chairman Martin Edwards and ex-chief executive David Gill.
Solskjaer has revealed that he did speak with the Scot in the aftermath of the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool, which led to serious questions surrounding the former’s position as head coach.

The Norwegian, however, has vowed to “fight back”, with the Red Devils looking to recover from the five-goal thrashing away to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening.
“We had a commercial day, Sir Alex came for some commercial stuff. We spoke for a brief moment because he was in there with Cristiano [Ronaldo],” Solskjaer told reporters.
“I’ve been through some very bad moments as a player here and when I’ve been a manager. I’ve dealt with setbacks, there have been two or three crises at least since I became manager here and one thing I can say is I’ll always give it a good shot and fight back.”
Man United have allegedly identified Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers as a leading contender for the managerial position should the team’s poor run of form continue in the coming weeks.
