Arsenal beat West Ham United 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night to secure a place in the top four for the first time this season.
Gabriel Martinelli put the Gunners in front three minutes after the break.
The forward slotted home from a threaded through ball from Alexander Lacazette.
Vladimir Coufal was sent off for a second yellow, after fouling Lacazette in the 69th minute.
Lacazette’s penalty was later saved by Lukasz Fabianski.
Substitute Emile Smith Rowe made sure of the victory late on, slotting bottom right after a fine break three minutes from time.
