A late strike from Joao Moutinho secured a hardfought 1-0 win for Wolverhampton Wanderers against Manchester United at Old Trafford, their first since February 1980.
They have now ended a run of 10 visits to Old Trafford without a win (three draws, seven defeats).
It is new interim manager Ralf Rangnick’s first defeat since replacing Ole Gunner Solskjaer.

The game saw the return of Phil Jones whose last fixture for the Red Devils was in late January 2020.
With eight minutes remaining in the game, the ball fell to Moutinho on the edge of the box, who then took aim and drilld into the bottom corner.
At 35 years and 117days, Moutinho is the oldest opposition player to score in Premier League at United since Didier Drogba in October 2014.
United had chances to take the lead through Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo, who wore the captain’s armband in the absence of Harry Maguire.
Fernandes hit the woodwork and moments after he found Ronaldo with a free kick who put the ball in the back of the net but his effort was flagged for offside.
With the defeat United currently in seventh place on 31 points, are four points behind fourth-placed Arsenal and 22 points behind leaders Manchester City.
For Wolves, they climb to eight place on 28 points in the league standing.
