Former Ghana head coach Kwesi Appiah has given tips on how the Black Stars can get the better of fierce rivals Nigeria, in the 2022 World Cup qualifying playoffs.
Ghana will welcome the Super Eagles in the first leg of the qualifiers on Friday, March 25 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Appiah, who led the Black Stars to the 2014 World Cup after thrashing Egypt in the playoff 6-1 at the same venue, stated what should be done for qualification to be achieved.

“It is about Ghana and I will entreat all and sundry to rally behind the Black Stars against Nigeria for us to win,” Appiah was quoted on footballghana.com.
“It is not going to an easy game but I believe if we support the team whole heartedly, we will be victorious,” he added.
Appiah was also the captain of the Black Stars when Ghana beat Nigeria 1-0 at the Baba Yara stadium during the qualifiers for the 1992 AFCON 31 years ago, the last time the two teams met in Kumasi.
While Black Stars are targeting a fourth World Cup appearance, the Eagles are eyeing a seventh appearance.
