Sir Alex Ferguson, the legendary former Manchester United manager, had a humorous message for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after presenting him with the LMA Manager of the Year award.
Klopp oversaw a remarkable season at Anfield, when the Reds were in contention for an unprecedented quadruple.
Liverpool won the Carabao Cup in February after defeating Chelsea with a penalty shootout.
On May 14, they won the FA Cup against Chelsea on penalties for the second time.
Klopp’s side pushed Manchester City to the final day of the season in one of the most tense title races in Premier League history, but were beaten by a single point.
Klopp’s team will face Real Madrid in the Champions League final on May 28.

Ferguson, who won thirteen Premier League titles as Manchester United manager, is credited with bestowing the LMA trophy to Klopp.
Given the enormous rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester United, he couldn’t go without expressing his humorous disappointment.
Ferguson said (via Liverpool Echo) upon presenting the award:
“This is agony, absolute agony!”
Ferguson had earlier told Klopp to join a club with a long history, but he has since reversed his suggestion, saying:
“I should’ve told him to go to Scunthorpe United,” the Scotsman joked.

In response to Ferguson’s Scottish accent, Klopp jokingly replied:
“I couldn’t understand what he [Ferguson] was saying… Working with Robbo and Kenny has helped me improve.”
