Aurelien Tchouameni To Join Real Madrid In €100m Transfer As Blancos Reach Agreement With Monaco

Real Madrid appear to have won the race to sign highly rated France midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, according to reports that the Champions League winners have struck a’verbal agreement’ with the player.

The remarkable 22-year-old has established himself as one of Europe’s most sought-after players, and his star has been soaring for some time.

Leading clubs from all over Europe are said to be interested in his evident potential, but it will be the reigning La Liga champions who will benefit from those qualities in 2022-23.

PSG were willing to pay more for his services, according to trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano, but pulled out over the weekend, leaving Real Madrid free to negotiate on a contract that will last until 2027.

Tchouameni was a key member of Monaco’s midfield last season, appearing 35 times in Ligue 1 as the club finished third. In addition, he scored three goals and added two assists in 11 appearances in European competitions.

What Is The Value Of Tchouameni’s Deal And How Long Is His Contract?

A deal for Tchouameni is expected to cost in the nine figures, including bonuses, with Real Madrid prepared to invest heavily on another astute signing for the club’s present and future.

A long-term contract at Santiago Bernabeu is set to keep him at the club until 2027, with fellow newcomer Antonio Rudiger recently committing to a four-year agreement after joining on a free transfer from Chelsea.

Why Did Real Madrid Sign Tchouameni?

Tchouameni’s signing by the Blancos is long-term, however he will still play a important role in the present.

He is seen as the natural succession to Casemiro in Real Madrid’s engine room, despite being a 30-year-old Brazilian international.

Tchouameni and fellow countryman Eduardo Camavinga, who made his own big-money move to Spain from Rennes in 2021, will be vying for as many minutes as possible with Madrid next season.
