Neymar Jr Refuses PSG Transfer

Neymar has no plans to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer. The Brazil star is focused on securing a major role in the national team at the 2022 World Cup in November and has put the possibility of a transfer at the back of his mind.

Neymar, who has three years remaining on his contract, has been linked with a move away from PSG, with GOAL reporting in June that PSG would be open to sell him this year if a good enough bid came in.

What Does The Future Hold For Neymar?

The 30-year-old has returned to PSG to begin pre-season training, and notwithstanding the the club’s admission that they would be willing to let him go, he is not planning to leave anytime soon.

The former Barca player wants to maintain his physical fitness so that he can be ready for the World Cup in Qatar.

Wagner Ribeiro, Neymar’s former agent, stated last month that the star does not want to leave PSG until they win the Champions League, telling reporters:

“Neymar has a dream: to be champion of the Champions League with PSG.

“Despite all the rumours regarding a possible exit, he is very motivated and will not stop until he achieves it.”

Galtier Wishes To Keep Neymar

Neymar wants to stay, according to PSG’s new coach Christophe Galtier, who also insisted that he has a “very clear idea” of how to get the greatest performance from him.

“Neymar is a world-class player, what coach wouldn’t want him in his squad. We have to find a balance in the team,” he said in his first press conference.

“I have a very clear idea of what I want from him. I haven’t met him yet but I want him to stay with us.”

Neymar was a vital player for PSG last season, scoring 13 goals to help the team win the Ligue 1 championship.

However, injuries affected his playing time, as he only made 22 appearances in Ligue 1 and six in the Champions League before they were defeated in the last-16 stage.
