The 31-year-old arrived in London Friday night on a private plane from Milan, where he delayed his summer holiday and therefore missed Napoli’s preseason training camp in Dimaro.
The Senegal international passed his medical with flying colours, according to Sportitalia transfer specialist Alfredo PedullĂ .

The next stage will be to film his announcement video with Chelsea, then relax before heading out to America on Friday morning.
The Blues have already arrived in the United States for their pre-season tour and training camp.
Napoli agreed to sell Koulibaly to Chelsea for €38 million plus €2 million in add-ons, with the player signing a five-year contract worth €10 million each season including bonuses.

It comes after Raheem Sterling became the window’s first signing, providing much-needed firepower to the attacking ranks. Chelsea has been working hard to find other methods to strengthen the team since his announcement.
Chelsea moved rapidly to agree on this transfer with Napoli, but they appear to have been able to do it for a decent €40 million fee. The 31-year-old has been connected with the Blues numerous times over the previous 5-6 years, but we were never able to make any headway, even if our intentions were genuine.
Whatever the case, the massive centre back is finally (nearly officially) a Chelsea player, which should be encouraging for the defence moving ahead. I wonder if he’ll be able to keep his No.26 shirt, which he’s worn at Napoli for the past eight years…
