Juventus have finalized the signing of Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer in a deal for up to €50 million (£42.5m/$51m), with the Brazilian signing a contract with Juve until 2027.
The 25-year-services old’s have been hotly contested by the Turin club and Serie A rivals Inter after an outstanding season at Torino.
Massimiliano Allegri’s team now has a player to fill the void in their defensive line after Matthijs de Ligt left for Bayern Munich.

What Is Bremer’s Track Record?
The Brazilian moved to Europe in 2018 from Atletico Mineiro and spent his first season as an understudy at Torino before stepping up to their starting lineup the following year.
He had been a steady though unnoticed presence for them until the start of the 2021-22 season, when his form soared, pushing the club from relegation scrappers to a mid-table finish.
He left with 110 appearances in all competitions and is heading across the city to Juventus as a result of winning the Serie A Defender of the Year award.

How Else Has Juventus Been Involved In Transfers This Summer?
Bremer is the third significant figure to enter the Allianz Stadium officially this summer, and the first for whom Juve will cough out money after signing Paul Pogba and Angel Di Maria on free transfers.
Considering the changes to Juventus’ defensive lineup, the 25-year-old’s entrance may be the most significant given that De Ligt succeeded steadfast captain Giorgio Chiellini, who left for Los Angeles FC after leaving Turin.
The loss of Paulo Dybala to Roma earlier this week has also hurt the Bianconeri this transfer window, and as the new season approaches, the team is likely to continue searching for new options.
