Jesse Lingard has signed a one-year deal with Nottingham Forest on a free transfer. After his contract with Manchester United expired this summer, the England international left the club. He posted a video on social media announcing his switch to Forest.
The 29-year-old has been connected with a move to West Ham, where he excelled on loan during the second half of the 2020-21 season, as well as a MLS. However, he has chosen to join the recently promoted Forest in order to take advantage of increased playing time.

The club announced Lingard’s arrival on their official website, saying, “Nottingham Forest are delighted to confirm the signing of Jesse Lingard.”

Jesse Lingard’s Performance At Manchester United
Lingard graduated from the United youth academy and spent time on loan at Leicester and Birmingham before making his senior debut for the Red Devils in August 2014.
He went on to make almost 230 appearances for the club in total, including 22 matches during the 2021-22 season.
His contract expired at the end of the season, and West Ham and Forest emerged as potential candidates.
Juventus were also interested in signing the free player, but their interest waned last month.
