Barcelona have made preparations for the arrival of French center-back Jules Kounde. In fact, before officially announcing the contract, they offered fans the chance to buy the club’s shirt with Kounde’s name on the back of it.
This was only for a few minutes, but according to several sources, Sevilla and Barcelona have finally reached a deal for the player.

Jules Kounde has been the subject of one of the largest market stories. Chelsea and Xavi Hernandez’s side were bidding for the same player, as is normal in this market. The Londoners had submitted a proposal with nearly twice the player’s salary and extra payment assurances.
One of the major reasons for the young centre-coming back’s is that Xavi has been in direct contact with him to persuade him to wear the Barcelona jersey.
Thomas Tuchel was asked about Kounde’s status over the weekend, but the coach didn’t reveal anything other than a smile.

Tuchel Is Frustrated With Barcelona
The Chelsea manager expressed his discomfort with the manner the Catalan club was handling their signings publicly in an interview over the weekend.
He also mentioned Chelsea right-back and captain Cesar Azpilicueta, who has been linked with a return to Spain. Tuchel stated that he did not know if he would give Azpi what he desired and alluded to the fact that for them, the Spaniard player was just as valuable as Kalidou Koulibaly, but for Barcelona, obviously not, due to the amount of money offered for the player.
