Alfred Schreuder, the current manager of Ajax, insists he is not afraid of loosing star winger Antony to Manchester United this summer. The Eredivisie champions, who are serious about keeping hold of him, are resisting attempts by the Premier League team to sign the Brazil international.
Ajax doesn’t need to earn a profit out off the 22-year-old because they have made a lot of money off of the sales of Sebastien Haller, Ryan Gravenberch, Nicolas Tagliafico, and Sebastien Martinez to Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayern Munich, respectively.
Alfred Schreuder Reaction To Antony’s Future
Although Schreuder concedes he cannot promise Antony would remain at the Johan Cruijff Arena this summer, he does not anticipate him to follow his old team out the door.
Following Ajax’s 3-1 friendly victory over Shakhtar Donetsk, Voetbal International asked Schreuder on the Brazilian’s future. Alfred Schreuder responded as follows: “I am not afraid of anything. We know that we have very good players and we assume that the selection stays together. You never know for sure.”

Will Antony sign for Man Utd?
The entire summer transfer season, United has been aiming to sign Antony.
To finalize a transfer to England, the agent of the ex-Sao Paulo player traveled to Europe at the close of the previous season.
Antony is ready to join up with former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag at United, but the Dutch team wants to hang onto him for at least another year.
Ajax, according to information obtained by GOAL, would be willing to sell Antony for a sum of about €80 million (£68 million/$82 million), while Manchester United are only willing to spend up to €60 million (£51 million/$61 million).
Antony, who has 22 goals in 78 games since joining Amsterdam, has three years left on his contract with the Eredivisie team.
