Adidas seeks to pay homage to historic kits from the past while also taking a risk with a new design, building on this season’s prior kit releases.

The history of Man United has always been strongly associated with the color green. Even so, we’ve never seen anything done quite like this before, and we’ve seen a lot.
It’s hardly surprising that a geometric pattern dominates both the collar and the shirt itself for a club with a strong visual identity.

Inigo Turner, Design Director at Adidas, described the new jersey before it was officially shown as “a convergence of cultural icons remixed and recoded, the 22/23 third kit takes its inspiration from the iconic United graphic identity, using geometric shapes and patterns.”
