Christian Pulisic won’t back down from a challenging situation, according to United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) coach Gregg Berhalter, who is optimistic that the player would fight for his spot in Chelsea’s starting lineup.
The two Premier League games that Chelsea has played so far this season have featured Pulisic, albeit, off the bench.
The manager of Pulisic’s national team appears to have complete faith in his skills despite the fact that he doesn’t usually start for his club.
How Did Berhalter Describe Pulisic?
“He’s a fighter. You’re going to see. He’s going to get on the field. I mean, every year it’s ‘he may not be a starter, right?
“Every year you hear that and every year he ends up on the field because of his contribution,” the USA manager said at an MLS event.
“He’s a goalscorer, he’s a winner. What I’ve seen from him in the last couple of years is his mentality has completely shifted and he embraces stuff like this.
“He’s not scared of challenges like (he has at Chelsea) and I’m excited to see how he performs this year.”
Could Pulisic Leave Chelsea In Search Of Playing Time?
If the Blues are successful in acquiring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Anthony Gordon, Pulisic might think about leaving the team.
A number of clubs are said to have him on their transfer radar.
Manchester United is the newest team to express interest in signing the promising 23-year-old US international, according to sources.
