Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo has been criticized for disrespecting former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher in the build-up to the Liverpool match.
Carragher, along with former United players Roy Keane and Gary Neville, were pundits on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.
While warming up on the field, Ronaldo approached his former United teammates to say hello before appearing to ignore Carragher.
“A nice conversation with you Jamie I thought,” said Sky presenter Dave Jones in reference to Ronaldo’s snub of Carragher.
Carragher laughed it off, claiming that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner had totally blanked him.
I get a custard pie for getting it right on Ronaldo from day one!
The custard pie for him from ETH shows the Manager thinks the same!!
Maybe the ex Man United Legends (sycophants!) will now agree with me 😎 https://t.co/Yc7DcJ5pcX— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) August 23, 2022
What Criticized Ronaldo?
Jose Enrique, a former Liverpool left back, criticized Ronaldo on social media in response to this event.
Since ending his career as a professional football player, Enrique has been active on social media. He also rarely holds back when sharing his thoughts on football-related topics.
“The disrespect here from Cristiano Ronaldo to Carra isn’t right.
“Keane and Gary (Neville) they have been killing him on Sky Sports as well so I’m sure is not because of that.

“Someone that played football for that long and made so many appearances for Liverpool at least you say hi out of respect.
“Another thing why I will never like Cristiano Ronaldo and when football finish let’s see who he will have around being like this,” he posted.
