Bukayo Saka has expressed his happiness at Arsenal and given the indication that a new deal with the club is imminent.
Saka responded following Mikel Arteta’s remarks about Saka’s future at the club.
Arteta had earlier stated that he is “quite convinced” Saka would continue with the Gunners. “Now it is about putting it on paper,” he added.
Saka, who scored 12 goals for the Gunners last season, has grown to be an essential member of the squad.
With the England international’s current deal about to expire, Arsenal will want to lock up his long-term future to fend off interest from teams like Manchester City and Liverpool.
What Did Saka Say?
Asked about his manager’s comments, Saka revealed he is also confident about a deal.
“Yes, I share his confidence,” he said. “I really feel the love from my team-mates, my coaches and the fans as well.”
