On his podcast this week, former Manchester United defender and Sky Sports analyst Gary Neville lavished praise on Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp.
Brendan Rodgers was fired when the Reds dropped to 11th place in the standings, and then Klopp was appointed in October 2015. The club has experienced a constant growth since then.
After winning six different titles, including the first Premier League title in 2020 and a Champions League victory in Madrid in 2019, the German coach has been widely regarded as one of the best in the world.
What Did Neville Say About Klopp?
Despite having played for Manchester United, a fierce rival of Liverpool, Neville has spoken highly about Klopp.
“Jurgen Klopp is an absolute phenomenon, but I think to myself where would Jurgen Klopp go now that you think would be better for him than Liverpool Football Club in the way in which the Premier League is dominating?”
Gary Neville:
“Jurgen Klopp is an absolute phenomenon. He’s a phenomenal manager doing a great job at Liverpool, he’s just had a bumpy start to the season but they’ll get it right Liverpool, I’m sure.” #lfc [sky]

“He has played in Champions League finals, he is competing against the other best managers in the world that are here at the moment.”
“So, at the moment, I don’t believe that’s fair, I don’t believe that’s right.”
“It looks like he is enjoying his time at Anfield too much to me, he enjoys the football, he enjoys the league.”
“I think he enjoys Liverpool fans, and it would be wishful thinking of Manchester United fans to think that Jurgen Klopp was leaving, and I don’t think that’s the case.”
Liverpool fans are unlikely to want Klopp to depart anytime soon, especially after guiding them to a domestic double and another Champions League final last season, as well as finishing second in the Premier League.
