After firing Thomas Tuchel earlier in the week after the Blues’ Champions League loss to Dinamo Zagreb, Chelsea announced the hiring of Potter on Thursday afternoon.
Graham Potter had been on the south coast for the past three years. During which, he developed a strong squad and guided them to their best league result ever last season.
The Seagulls will find it challenging to replace the 47-year-old, and they have already lost their top candidate to fill in for the time being after coach and former player Bruno joined Potter at Stamford Bridge.
However, reports state that Lallana, together with under-21 coach Andrew Crofts, will assume leadership of the team ahead of Saturday’s game against Bournemouth.
Shannon Ruth, the under-21 assistant coach, Nick Stanley, the set-play coach, and Jack Stern, the assistant goalkeeping coach, will also help out in managing the first team.

The 34-year-old midfielder’s appointment to the coaching staff, which comes despite the fact that he isn’t the club captain, will undoubtedly surprise many.
He has so far appeared in three games this season, coming off against West Ham remaining due to injury.
Lallana is still out since that game and won’t be available for the Bournemouth game, and after that Brighton don’t have to wait for a couple of weeks due to their game with Crystal Palace being suspended already.
