Ronaldo Pays Tribute To The Queen Following Her Death

Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has become the latest sportsman to pay respect to Queen Elizabeth II following her passing.

Ronaldo is one of the numerous football personalities that have honored the Queen since Thursday.

The monarch participated in a number of noteworthy sporting events during her lifetime, including presenting England with the World Cup in 1966.

Meanwhile, Football has taken a unified approach to cancelling games this weekend. From the Premier League and WSL all the way down to grassroots soccer, the entire pyramid has been suspended.

What Did Ronaldo Say About The Queen?

Ronaldo posted a message on social media in memory of the Queen, who passed away on September 8.

“Seven years of my career were played in the Premier League, making this my 8th season living in England,” he wrote.

“Throughout these years, I’ve felt the everlasting love of the UK for it’s Queen, and how important Her Majesty was and will forever be to the British people.
