The highly anticipated Manchester derby between City and United at home on Sunday will require “the perfect game,” according to Pep Guardiola.
City sit second on the table, just one point off first place, however, United have showed promise under new manager Erik ten Hag.

In his pre-match press conference ahead of the game, Pep Guardiola stated that the significance of the occasion itself will give more than enough emotional motivation for his players.
And he thinks the key for City will be to maintain a cool head despite the frenetic atmosphere.

“We have to play the perfect game on Sunday, they will punish you in small spaces,” Guardiola declared.
“We cannot be lazy. What you need to be expressed is emotions, the games will give it to you.
“Decisions are being made before you act. Be calm and take the right decisions.

“In these games we don’t have to make extra emotional effort because it is what is.
