Chelsea’s Aubameyang who is set to meet former club AC Milan in the Champions League this week, recalls learning from famous striker Ronaldo in Italy when the forward was already ‘a bit fat’.
Aubameyang spent his formative years at the San Siro from 2007 to 2011. Although, he never got to play for Milan at the senior level as he was on loan before making a permanent move to Saint-Etienne.

At Milan, the Gabonese player shared the field with a number of legendary players, including Ronaldo.
Ronaldo was nearing the conclusion of his illustrious career and possibly wasn’t in the best physical condition of his life.
The legendary Brazilian nonetheless managed to score nine goals in 20 games for Milan during his limited stay, and Aubameyang remembers making an effort to learn from the prolific goal-scorer during their little time together.
What Did Aubameyang Say About Ronaldo?
“I know Milan well,” said Aubameyang ahead of Chelsea hosting the Italians on Wednesday.
“At that time, the team was really strong, to tell the truth. Ronaldo, [Paolo] Maldini, [Alessandro] Nesta… I was very young.
“That is why I chose to go on loan for a few years. I was just trying to improve and looking at [Ronaldo] to learn as much as I could. To tell the truth, he was a bit fat by then! But he was still the best.
