FPL Gameweek 11 Recap: Salah Back To Hunt Manchester City

FPL Gameweek 11 Recap: Salah Back To Hunt Manchester City

Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) scored the only goal of the game to earn Liverpool a much-needed victory over Manchester City, just in time for the first FPL Blank Gameweek (12).

The Egyptian was positioned centrally and was much more dangerous as he registered three shots, including two Opta-defined “big chances.”

Salah scored eight points, but he could well have scored. Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez (worth £8.8m) really ought to have found him in a three-on-one position when there was still time.

After returning either a goal or assist in nine consecutive league outings, Erling Haaland (£12.2m) blanked for the first time in Gameweek 11.

Meanwhile, Phil Foden (£8.3m) believed he had given his team the lead in the second half, VAR disallowed the goal due to a foul committed by Haaland in the preceding play.

Elsewhere, Mason Mount (£7.6m) netted his first two goals of the season as Chelsea continued their unbeaten start under Graham Potter in Gameweek 11.
