After failing to advance from their Champions League group for the second consecutive year, Barcelona find themselves in a state of despair.
They lost to Bayern Munich yet again on Wednesday, this time by a score of 3-0. However, Julian Nagelsmann, the Bayern coach, was largely upbeat about them.
His team again destroyed Barcelona on the break, breaking the offside trap for Sadio Mane and Eric Maxim Choupo-opening Moting’s goals.
What Nagelsmann Said About Barcelona
After the game, Nagelsmann spoke about his team being close to perfection to Diario AS.
“We have played with a lot of patience, knowing that Barcelona plays very well. Defensively we have been perfect.
“Not conceding a single goal has been very important for us. It has been a success for us. We have been very effective, in that sense we have played a great match.”
Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez had reiterated that they were unfortunate to lose in the reverse fixture in Munich, something Nagelsmann agreed with.
“I acknowledge we were a bit lucky in the first leg, but I can’t say more.”

“They have a team with a lot of future potential, they are already a great team. I am sure they will have a great Europa League.”
By the time the game began, the Blaugrana were already aware that they had been eliminated.
That was cited as a mental factor by Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Xavi, and Pedri, but Nagelsmann saw an intense team.
“We played very aggressively, I don’t think they lacked intensity.”
