Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly held talks with Bayern Munich as recently as last week in order to push a January transfer.
After failing to secure a move in the summer, Ronaldo’s stint at Old Trafford appears to be coming to an end following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
The 37-year-old stated that he does not respect manager Erik ten Hag, that he feels betrayed by Manchester United, and that some club officials are seeking to force him out.
The final claim appears to be the oddest of the lot, as Ronaldo has been and continues to explore for a move elsewhere, desiring to return to the Champions League as he’s still capable of competing with Europe’s finest.
According to Sportsmail, Bayern Munich is a possible target for the veteran striker after Ronaldo and agent Jorge Mendes discussed with officials from the Bavarian club in England last week.
Mendes was scouting Ronaldo about Europe over the summer, presenting him to Sporting, Napoli, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich, but nothing came of it.

Bayern Munich look to be rethinking their stance after CEO Oliver Kahn stated that the club ‘quickly dismissed’ the possibility of acquiring the Portuguese superstar this summer.
‘We briefly discussed Ronaldo at Bayern and Dortmund probably did too,’ Kahn told German publication Bild last month. ‘We also see the big picture of the Bundesliga.
‘Of course, superstars like Ronaldo are an important factor in attracting attention to the league. He is one of the greatest of the last decade. But we quickly dismissed that.’
According to Sportsmail, Bayern are concerned about Sadio Mane’s fitness and the future of Eric Choupo-Moting, who is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United.
