Despite appearing to sustain a terrible injury, Cristian Pulisic remained ecstatic as he scored the game-winning goal for the USA at the World Cup.
Tuesday’s match saw the United States defeat Iran 1-0 to go to the round of 16. However, Chelsea striker Pulisic was unable to celebrate the goal in the first half.
The 24-year-old appeared extremely injured after being bundled into the goal as he scored and was then taken off.

Gregg Berhalter, the manager of the USA, later disclosed that Pulisic had been transported to a hospital, where the player himself gave an update on his injury.
Berhalter praised Pulisic’s display after the game.
He said: “No update on his status but I’ve been saying all along, it’s a wonderful thing when one of your best players is also one of your hardest working.
