Raheem Sterling has stated that he would not return to England’s World Cup camp until he is sure his family are safe.
The star has been left ‘shaken’ by the robbery at his £6m property, with neighbours saying it was a ‘inside job’ by contractors yesterday, as he is said to be the fourth Chelsea player targeted by an organised gang.
Thieves broke into the father of three’s £6m guarded mansion and stole a pile of watches and jewellery, forcing the shocked star to rush home from Qatar to be with his family.
Police were called at 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, after Sterling’s partner Paige arrived home to discover “a number of valuables including jewellery and watches” gone.
In light of the alarming incident, a lot of Sterling’s England teammates are said to be reconsidering their own security.

The 27-year-old footballer intends to return to Qatar for England’s quarter-final match against France on Saturday, but only if he believes his family is safe at their Surrey home.
‘Raheem has told everyone, “There is no way I’m going anywhere unless I’m 100 per cent sure that my family can be kept safe”. He is security conscious and part of the reason they moved into the property was that it is on a very exclusive estate, with regular security patrols,’ a source told The Sun.
‘Despite this, he has still managed to be targeted, which is very upsetting for Raheem and Paige. They have just moved back to London and want to feel safe.’
A spokesman for Sterling said that ‘his focus is on being at home and supporting his family.
Gareth Southgate will not put Sterling under any pressure to return to the England camp.
