Richarlison was overcome with emotion when he met with legendary number nine Ronaldo after his team advanced to the World Cup quarter-finals with a 4-1 victory.
The two met after the Tottenham Hotspur striker put on a display in Brazil that knocked South Korea out of the World Cup.
The Brazilian No. 9 scored the third goal after his team surged out of the blocks, quickly going 4-0 up at Stadium 974 in Doha before halftime.
Although South Korea scored a consolation goal through Paik Seung-ho, Ronaldo Nazario stood besides Brazilian legend Cafu as Brazil solidified themselves as the best team in this year’s World Cup in Qatar.

Footage from after the game showed the Brazilian star appearing to surprise an emotional Richarlison, who couldn’t help but cry as he stepped into a room to be greeted by an idol.
The modern-day ‘R9’ was then interviewed by the Brazilian superstar, who was even taught Richarlison’s famous pigeon dance.

Ronaldo scored 62 goals in 99 appearances, making him the third best goal scorer in Brazilian history.
The former Barcelona, Real Madrid, and AC Milan player is only exceeded by Neymar, who added to his total from the penalty spot on his comeback from injury, and Pele, who was honoured at full-time as he battles illness.
Richarlison, who wears the famed No. 9 shirt worn by Ronaldo, scored his 20th goal for Brazil when he sent Spurs teammate Son Heung-Min back from Qatar.
