Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix.
The Portugal international is free to depart Diego Simeone’s side during the January transfer window, with Man United said to be in pole position to sign him in 2023.
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with a move for the 23-year-old, who joined Atletico from Benfica in July 2019 for a fee of roughly £113m.
Felix has failed to make an impact at Atletico Madrid, scoring 33 goals and assisting 18 times in 129 appearances, including four goals and three assists in 18 games this season.
Atletico CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin recently intimated that the club would be prepared to allow the Portuguese leave when the winter market begins.
[Joao Felix] is the biggest bet this club has taken in its history. I personally think he’s a top talent, a world-class player,” Gil Marin told TVE last month.
“For reasons it isn’t worth getting into – the relationship between him and the boss (Simeone), the minutes played, his motivation right now – it makes you think that the reasonable thing is that if there’s an option that’s good for the player, good for the club, we can look at it.

As per Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Felix’s agent Jorge Mendes is now in talks with a number of clubs, but Atletico Madrid wants more than €100m (£85.9m) for the attacker.
According to AS, Felix’s biggest pursuers are presently Man United and PSG, although Arsenal are also interested in recruiting the Portuguese in January.
The Gunners are ready to consider their options next month after it was confirmed that Gabriel Jesus will require surgery to fix a knee injury sustained during the World Cup.
