Atletico Madrid have signed Netherlands international forward Memphis Depay in a £2.6m move (€4m) from Barcelona.
The Dutch international has agreed to terms with the Wanda Metropolitano on a two-and-a-half-year contract and will be unveiled as a Rojiblanco player on Friday evening.
According to ESPN, the initial fee would be €3m, with a potential variable fee of slightly more than €1m.
Depay scored 13 goals in 36 appearances after joining Barcelona on a free transfer, but he had fallen down the pecking order following the signings of Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha.
The 28-year-old appeared just four times this season, with club officials accusing Depay of delaying his return from injury in order to be fit for the World Cup.
Newcastle United and former club PSV Eindhoven were said to be interested in signing the forward, but Diego Simeone’s side have confirmed his signing.
Depay was allowed to leave his former club on Wednesday to finalise his deal, and he trained with Atletico for the first time on Thursday.

His contract at the Camp Nou was set to expire at the end of the season, with no option for renewal after the striker fell down the pecking order during Xavi’s reign.
According to reports, the agreement includes an option for Barcelona to sign Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco in the future.
Depay’s move to Real Madrid comes after the club allowed wantaway talent Joao Felix to join Chelsea on a season-long loan for £9 million.
The Dutch striker’s latest move to the Spanish capital is his fifth club switch since breaking through the ranks at PSV Eindhoven as a youth product.
