Erik Ten Hag Addresses Mason Greenwood Situation In Presser

Erik ten Hag declined to comment on the Mason Greenwood internal investigation conducted by Manchester United.

On Thursday, February 2, Greater Manchester Police declared that the football player’s criminal case had been dropped. The forward was charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behavior, and assault, all against the same woman.

Later on Thursday, United acknowledged in a statement that the team would look internally to “determine next steps.”

United’s statement, released on Thursday evening, read: “Manchester United notes the decision of the Crown Prosecution Service that all charges against Mason Greenwood have been dropped.

“The club will now conduct its own process before determining next steps. We will not make any further comment until that process is complete.”

Meanwhile, Greenwood won’t be available to play during the process or participate in training with the first-team squad.

The footballer, who last played for United on January 22 2022, is contracted to United until 2025 and the club has the option of an additional year.

“As I said, in this moment, I can’t give comment about the process. I can’t say anything about it.
