I’m Not Leaving Real Madrid Until They Fire Me – Carlo Ancelotti

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that he’s not ready to leave the club despite the team’s poor form.

Ancelotti left Everton to return to Real Madrid in 2021 for his second stint as manager.

He led Los Blancos to the La Liga title and the Champions League trophy in his first season back in charge.

Ancelotti is under contract with Real Madrid until June 2024, but his future with the club has recently been called into question.

The Italian has recently been linked with the vacant managerial position of the Brazil national team, though he has denied reports that talks have taken place.

The Brazilian federation also issued a statement denying that they had reached an agreement with Ancelotti.

“We can deny any agreement reached with Ancelotti. We suggest to leave the speculations — we will decide and then announce our new head coach at the right moment,” the statement read.

After leading Real Madrid to a 5-3 victory over Al-Hilal on Saturday, Ancelotti stated that he will not leave the club unless he is fired.

“I’m not leaving here until they fire me,” Ancelotti told reporters. I’m delighted to form part of Real Madrid’s history.

Real Madrid will return to league matters after winning the Club World Cup in Rabat, and they will face a mountain to climb if they are to retain their league title.

Los Blancos are currently eight points behind league leaders Barcelona, and that gap could be in double figures by the time Real Madrid play Elche on Wednesday.

They are still in the Copa del Rey, where they will play Barcelona in a two-leg El Clasico semi-final.
