Man United Rocked By Two Huge Blows Ahead Of Top Four Clash

Ahead of the crucial Premier League top four clash against Newcastle United next month, Man United will be without key players Casemiro and Alejandro Garnacho.

On Sunday, during the first half of the Red Devils’ goalless stalemate at home against Southampton at the bottom of the standings, Casemiro was given a straight red card for a violent tackle.

Erik ten Hag expressed his displeasure with the decision but chose not to appeal, meaning the Brazilian will serve a four-match punishment for his second red card in three Premier League games.

The midfielder won’t play against Fulham on Sunday, nor will he play against Newcastle, Brentford, or Everton following the two-week international break.

Man United misery was compounded further when it was confirmed on Tuesday that Garnacho will be sidelined for several weeks due to an ankle injury.

The Argentine sustained ligament damage following a challenge from Kyle Walker-Peters, which sadly resulted in racist abuse being aimed at Saints full-back on social media.

“It is difficult to put into words how I’m feeling right now,” Garnacho posted on Instagram.

“Unfortunately I will not be able to help my team and teammates in the upcoming games in what is a very important part of the season for us at Manchester United.

“I am disappointed to also miss the opportunity to be with my teammates of the Argentinian National Team in what would have been a great and proud moment for me and my family.

“This is part of football and our profession, however, I am already focused in my recovery.

“God has taught me to never give up and I will make sure I am back stronger than ever!”
