In addition to being named Arsenal’s February men’s Player of the Month, Oleksandr Zinchenko’s goal has also been voted Goal of the Month by the Gunners faithful.
The Ukrainian’s spectacular goal against Aston Villa won Arsenal’s monthly vote for the finest goal attempt, garnering 40% of the vote to edge Bukayo Saka out of first place.
Bukayo, who also scored a fantastic goal in the same match at Villa Park, finished second by just 2%, while Stina Blackstenius’ Conti Cup final victory over Manchester City was the third of the top 3.
Zinchenko’s first goal for the club – and indeed in the Premier League – was one to treasure.
It came at a vital time with Arsenal trailing to the Villans, and after Saka and Martin Odegaard had played a short corner, Odeegard then rolled the ball into the left-back’s path.

Without hesitation, Zinchenko put his foot through it to rifle into the bottom corner and kick-start Arsenal’s comeback to claim a precious win.
This is the latest Arsenal award Zinchenko has picked up, having won the men’s Player of the Month award twice in succession in January and February after a fine start to 2023.
