Manchester United are reportedly considering a €50m (£44m) summer move for Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele, who has piqued the interest of other major European teams with his outstanding exploits.
The France international is currently out with a hamstring injury, but he has shone for his Catalan club this season, scoring eight goals and registering seven assists in 28 games.
Dembele left Barcelona on a free transfer last summer before returning to Camp Nou in the middle of July and signing a two-year contract.
The 25-year-old is in the final 18 months of his contract at Camp Nou, and there are reports that a €50m (£44m) release clause will be included in his contract this summer.
According to Calciomercato, Manchester United are set to trigger the buy-out option in his contract, with Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag keen to bring the Frenchman to Old Trafford.
According to the report, Juventus and Inter Milan are also interested, but the two Italian clubs would struggle to sign him with the full deal, including wages.
Chelsea and Newcastle United have also been connected with the attacker, but it is believed that Manchester United is the Premier League’s top target.

Barcelona wants to re-sign Dembele, but according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Xavi’s side could find it tough to extend his contract owing to financial issues.
Dembele was scheduled to return from a hamstring injury in Sunday’s El Clasico against Real Madrid, but the game came too soon for the attacker.
Since joining Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund in August 2017, the attacker has appeared on 178 occasions in all competitions, contributing 40 goals and 41 assists.
