Inter Milan defender, Denzel Dumfries is apparently a target for Aston Villa ahead of the summer transfer window. According to reports, Unai Emery is eager to add a right-back to his team, with Dumfries being a player on his priority list.
However, given that Erik ten Hag is a tremendous admirer of his fellow countryman. Manchester United are also highly interested in recruiting the Dutchman.
A deal to bring Dumfries to Old Trafford was attempted in January but failed to materialize. However, they may try again in the coming months.
Villa may soon overtake their rivals. According to Italian publication TuttoMercato as reported by Birmingham World, which claims that Emery “holds Dumfries in high regard.” And that negotiations over a prospective transfer are “already in progress.”
Due to Inter’s financial difficulties, the defender may need to be sold in order to raise money. And the Villians are willing to spend quite a bit of money to secure his services.
The Villans reportedly view the acquisition of a new right-back as a must. This is because their only available choices right now are Matty Cash and Ashley Young. Both have been impressive for the most part this season.

Although Emery has occasionally come dangerously close to having nobody of note available in the position due to injury issues.
This issue would unquestionably be resolved by the addition of Dumfries. He is a player with Champions League experience and will soon be 27. He would not only likely start right away, but he would likely secure Villa’s place in European competition for years to come in a thrilling new age.
