Leicester City striker, Jamie Vardy has admitted he “cannot say what I want to say” about his challenging season.
The 36-year-old made the intriguing remark following his equalizer against Leeds United at Elland Road on Tuesday night. Ending his goal drought and earning Leicester a 1-1 draw with their relegation rivals.
Vardy believes the floodgates have opened at the end of what he concedes has been a “weird season” for him. He hadn’t scored in the Premier League since the 4-0 victory away at Wolves on October 23.
Asked about breaking his goal drought, Vardy told BT Sport as reported by Leicester Mercury: “I probably can’t say what I want to say because I’ll probably get done saying it on TV, but it’s been a weird season for myself. Like you say, I’ve got (a goal) now, so hopefully in this little run to the end of the season they can keep coming.”
Speaking in the same interview about the result, he said: “(A point) could be massive. We know now that we’ve got five cup finals left. We’ll enjoy getting this point tonight. But we’re back tomorrow to recover and then got to look forward to Everton on Monday night.

“We were on top. When Patson came on as well, we put a bit of extra pace up there. It’s all about getting players in the pockets when we needed them to. But making sure me and Patson are stretching them as far as possible to make that space.
“We’ve done it right at the end there with Madders getting turned. On another day if he wasn’t as tired he’d have probably got onto it himself, but luckily I was there to put it in.”
