Mauricio Pochettino will reportedly offer Romelu Lukaku the chance to remain at Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
Despite scoring 15 goals in 44 appearances during his first year back at Stamford Bridge, it was thought by many that his £97.5m return to the club had been a flop.
As a result, the Belgian international was allowed to rejoin Inter, where he struggled to make an impact in the first half of 2022-23.
Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta even intimated that Lukaku will return to Chelsea due to his poor form, but the 29-year-old has made progress in recent weeks.
Following up on his hat-trick against Sweden last month, Lukaku has added four goals and two assists during the international break, giving him more respectable stats at San Siro.
As things are, Lukaku’s long-term future is uncertain, but the striker has publicly stated that he would love to stay at I Nerazzurri.
However, The Telegraph reports that Chelsea have not ruled out Lukaku playing for his parent club next season.
The West Londoners are expected to select Mauricio Pochettino as their new head coach, ushering in a new era at the club.

Lukaku will reportedly be asked whether he wants to try to revive his Chelsea career under the Argentine at a time when the club is in need of a new central forward.
Chelsea’s management must also try to gain value for money from the former club-record signing, whether through game time or negotiating a sale or loan.
In an ideal scenario, Inter would re-sign Lukaku on a permanent basis, but the Serie A club cannot afford to pay Lukaku’s asking price.
