Bruno Fernandes is an uncertainty for Thursday’s Premier League match between Manchester United and Tottenham, according to Erik ten Hag.
The versatile midfielder was subbed off during the extra period of United’s FA Cup semifinal triumph over Brighton on penalties, and ice was later seen strapped to his ankle.
The weekends for United and Spurs were completely different.
After the Lilywhites were humiliated 6-1 by Newcastle, temporary manager Cristian Stellini was fired. Ryan Mason, who also replaced Jose Mourinho after his dismissal in 2019, will now serve as manager until the end of the current campaign for the second time in two years.
Meanwhile, Bruno’s wife posted a photo of him resting his foot with a boot and crutches laid beside him. Despite that seeming to indicate he will be absent, ten Hag did not rule him out of the game in his press conference ahead of the clash.

“We have to see how Bruno Fernandes is, we don’t know yet. He is a question mark,” he said.
The availability of Fernandes therefore remains rather unknown, but if he is absent it would be a massive blow to United who have struggled for midfield balance without him in the team.
