Tottenham 2-2 Man Utd: Son Heung-Min Says Fightback was Driven By ‘Anger’

Man United threw away a two-goal lead against Tottenham on Thursday but Son Heung-min wanted more from the game.

Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur believes his team might have won three points against Manchester United on Thursday night.

United took the lead against Tottenham from the outset, and that strong start was rewarded in the seventh minute when Jadon Sancho scored a fantastic goal, cutting inside and finding the bottom right corner.

Tottenham, who appeared low in confidence after their heavy 6-1 defeat against Newcastle the previous weekend, appeared to be ripe for the taking, and Marcus Rashford doubled the Reds’ lead just before half-time.

According to evening news Despite dominating in the first half, United lacked intensity after the break. Tottenham soon gained confidence, the crowd rallied, and Pedro Porro scored in the 55th minute, prompting Erik ten Hag to make replacements.

However, the changes did not have the desired effect, and Son equalized in the closing stages. The South Korean then commented after the final whistle, expressing disappointment with his team’s performance in the final third.

“I thought we didn’t deserve to be 2-0 down in the first half,” Son told BT Sport. “We played quite well, we had the chances to score but we weren’t clinical enough. I think in the second half we showed great character, but we’re not happy we didn’t get three points.

“The final decision-making wasn’t perfect. We didn’t want to let the fans down, we wanted to give everything and that was the dressing room speech. We couldn’t let the game go. We were really angry about it, we didn’t deserve to be 2-0 down at half-time.
